Admission to the Geology B.S. has been suspended effective May 2006
upon signature by the President of Senate Bill No.0506-20

Note:
1) students wanting to obtain a B.S. degree with a concentration in the geological sciences may still do so, through the Environmental Science B.S. with a Geology concentration
2) students wanting to obtain a B.S. degree that will form part of the qualifications for certification to teach high school Earth Science in New York State should look at the page with suggestions for a Student-initiated Interdisciplinary major in Earth Science

If you want a background of the circumstances behind the suspension, read this page

Requirements for the B.S. Degree in Geology prior to the suspension (for students completing the program)
