I am a second year graduate student in the Department of Atmospheric and Environmental Sciences at SUNY Albany. I received my B.S. in Atmospheric Science from SUNY Albany in Spring 2012. I'm currently working under the co-advisement of Drs. Lance Bosart and Kristen Corbosiero. My research is part of the Collaborative Science, Technology, and Applied Research (CSTAR) program, and is focused on Northeast winter storms associated with significant upper level easterly wind anomalies. The goals of this research are to: 1) develop a full climatology (1950-2011) of these cyclone events, 2) create composite analyses to better understand the prominent synoptic scale features associated with these events and 3) to help improve situational awareness when forecasting these cyclones through the use of conceptual models. Feel free to contact me via e-mail at any time.
