About Me

I am a second year graduate student in the Department of Atmospheric and Environmental Sciences at the University at Albany/State University of New York. I am pursuing my Master's degree (expected graduation date: 1 August 2012) under the advisement of Dr. Lance Bosart and Dr. Daniel Keyser as part of the NOAA CSTAR program. My research will focus on convection caused by Appalachian lee troughs (ALTs) and prefrontal troughs (PFTs). Since my research is sponsored by NOAA/NWS, a significant component will pertain to improving operational forecasts of deep convection and severe thunderstorms in the mid-Atlantic, as well as how the convective environment of the mid-Atlantic during the warm season is modulated by ALTs and PFTs. You can view some preliminary work posted in the "Research" section.
