I have liked Neil Young ever since my best friend, Carl, introduced me to the bulk of his music when we were juniors/seniors in high school (early '80s). I've only been to one Neil Young concert, but it was fantastic. It was the tour that from which they recorded Weld. I saw him at the Capital Centre (now the USAir Arena) in Landover, MD. Some of the audience was clearly taken aback by the feedback/loudness/kick-ass rocking. I think they were expecting some acoustic stuff (like on his previous tour in support of Freedom). Instead they got "Welfare Mothers" for an encore. Awesome!
If you like Neil, check out the comprehensive unofficial Neil Young Web page HyperRust. This place has all the information you'll ever want online, in addition to the directions to sign up for the Neil Young mailing list...rust@death!

Well I'm a fan of bluesy guitar rock. I have been a fan of ZZ Top ever since I picked up Deguello in junior high school. Of course, it helped that my parents were also fans of ZZ. Anyway, I was definitely hooked when I saw these guys on the El Loco tour for my first concert! IMHO, ZZ's music has gone way down hill since Eliminator. I still buy the albums though. Here's some other ZZ stuff I've collected over the 'Net. Most of this stuff comes from The Little Ol' Web Page from Texas.

Unfortunately, their best album was their first album. The quality has been down hill since then. Why does this happen to so many good bands? At least the cover art on their last album was good ;-).
"I claim this planet in the name of Mars."
"Duck Season!" "Rabbit Season!"
"Shhh, be very, very quiet. We're hunting Elmers."
"Number One Super Guy."
Or how about comic strips?
"Sunday morning quality time."
"A boy and his tiger."
I got this one for my son who is 3 years old. If you have a toddler you know the purple version of hell :-(.
"I love you, you love me..."
