Welcome!

Iím a graduate student in the Department of Atmospheric and Environmental Sciences at the University

at Albany, where I am working toward my Ph.D. under the advisement of Chris Thorncroft.

My research focuses on the mesoscale convective systems (MCSs) observed over Africa and their

interaction with African easterly waves (AEWs). One focus is the role of AEWs in initiating

convection. Another is the impact of the convection on the genesis and lifecycle of African easterly

waves.
