Welcome to Naoko Sakaeda's web page!

I am a graduate student in the Department of Atmospheric and Environmental Sciences at the University at Albany, working under the advisement of Paul Roundy.

My research interests are in the role of tropical intraseasonal oscillations in the global flow through their interactions with higher and lower frequency variability.
What are the feedbacks between the MJO and higher frequency other equatorial waves?
How do their interactions influenced by the background low frequency variability and how do their varying interactions feedback onto the background state?
