Welcome to my home page!

I am in my first year of graduate study at the State University of New York at Albany. Under the advisement of Professor Paul Roundy, I study large-scale tropical dynamics and tropical-extratropical interactions. The purpose of our current research project is to understand how the troposphere evolves with oceanic Kelvin waves. These Kelvin waves are coupled to atmospheric convection in the tropical Pacific. I also plan to explain the statistical relationship that exists between these convectively coupled waves and extratropical middle-upper tropospheric flow anomalies.

Outside of my immediate research project and classwork, my interests include applied mathematics, environmental and energy science, exercise and nutrition, and current events.
