Announcements¶

• Was due Thu. 10/16 Meet with your team members and decide on a name for your team. Add a comment in the Team Assignments document with your suggested team name.

• By 4:30 PM Tue. 10/21 Create and share with your team members (plus Kevin and Sincere) an initial document for your project. Use any word processor you like (Word, Google Docs, etc.). All team members should contribute some of your initial project ideas. Share the document with Kevin and Sincere.

• HW3: Will be distributed Thu. 10/23; due Thu. 11/6

Learning and Participation Activities with Due Dates (Tuesday, Oct. 28, end of day):¶

In class:¶

1. We will explore an exemplary Project Pythia Cookbook. Your final project will be a somewhat simplifed version of a Pythia Cookbook.

2. We will then create a prototypical project repository, largely but not exactly following the workflow in the Project Pythia Cookbook Contributors Guide. Follow along closely!

On your own:¶

1. Notebooks

   a. cd into your atm533 folder: simply type atm533

   b. Clone the week 9 repository: git clone git@github.com:DAES433533/week9

   c. Explore the three notebooks; create copies and try some of the suggestions

2. Follow up with Kevin and Sincere regarding an initial project planning meeting with your team. Thursday 10/23 Lab Session will be ideal!

3. Subscribe to and post any questions / comments to the Week 9 Thread on Brightspace.

4. Subscribe to and post any questions / comments to the Final Team Project Thread on Brightspace.
