About Me

Professional Info:

I am currently working at the Department of Atmospheric Sciences at the State University of New York at Albany . I am working with John Molinari performing research on Hurricanes and Tropical Meterology. Here is a visible image of East Pacific Hurricane Linda. Here is one from hurricane Luis back in 1995. I also have added a recent visible and infrared images of hurricane Mitch near its most intense point(pressure ~906mb sustained winds ~180mph). This hurricane was one of the deepest storms ever in the Atlantic basin. Currently, Mitch is just a shadow of its former self due to two major factors: its proximity to land and high terrain, and its slow motion which enhances upwelling of cooler water from deep below the surface. dis1 dis2

Personal Info:

On November 8th, 1997 I married my lovely wife, Sandy. We had been together for several years before I came to my senses and realized she was the one for me. We went to Italy for our honeymoon and spent 12 terrific days there. We visited Rome,The Vatican,Florence, Venice and Sorrento with stays in Siena, Verona, and Capri. Being of Italian heritage made the trip more exciting for me. I highly recommend going if you get the chance. Although I would reccommend traveling a bit earlier in the year as the northern cities (Florence and Venice) were quite cool in November. LA PIETA
