Adjunct Professor*
[*Please note that this is not a current
appointment at the University at Albany, since the closure of
the Geological Sciences Program]
formerly Senior Scientist, New York State Museum
Center for Stratigraphy and Paleontology
New York State Museum
Albany, NY 12230
My primary research interest is in integrated
carbonate reservoir characterization. I use sequence
stratigraphy, petrography, geochemistry, log and seismic analysis
and other techniques to better understand oil and gas reservoirs
of New York and around the world. Most of my current
research is focused on better understanding hydrothermal processes
and the impact of hydrothermal alteration on the formation and
enhancement of oil and gas reservoirs. I am also interested in
using stratigraphy to better understand local tectonics and global
climate change.
