About

Background

Adam was raised in South Florida, where he fell in love with nature and the environment. While growing up, Adam had been a scuba diver and an FM radio DJ, and found his calling in STEM. In 2021, Adam earned his undergraduate degree in environmental science from Broward College in South Florida, with a specialization in physical sciences. His undergraduate research focused on surface-level processes like coastal geology, hydrogeology, and sea-level rise.

Since then, he has been enrolled in a doctoral program at the University at Albany (SUNY), where he is a research project assistant under Dr. Sara Lance, and an NCAS-M II Fellow. His current research is focused on novel and emerging atmospheric pollutants related to anthropogenic compounds like plastic polymers, and per/polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
