Welcome to my home page
My name is Ahmed Abdelrahman Shaaban. I graduated from physics and computer science in May 2007 - Helwan University. I joined The Egyptian Meteorological authority by 2008. I served as a research worker at the scientific research department. I took my master degree in atmospheric sciences from the University at Albany-Sate university atNew York in May 2015. I am currently working toward a Ph.D. degree. During my master, I studied the variability of the Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD) and ENSO with more emphasize on the IOD and its impact on Eastern African precipitation. I also studied the variability of the IOD from the outgoing longwave radiation (OLR) perspective. Currently, I am studying the vertical structure of the Kelvin wave.
