Week 3 overview¶

Learning Objectives:¶

Confirm the invite that you should have received to join the DAES433533 GitHub organization

You can either click on the confirmation link in the email you received, or you can go to the Class GitHub organization link and confirm the invite there (you will need to have logged into GitHub first).
Use git to make a copy of the cartopy.ipynb notebook in my week3 directory:

a. While logged in to your DAES Linux account, type:
```
atm533
```
b. Type the following:
```
git clone /spare11/atm533/ktyle/week3
```
c. You should now have a week3 directory in your atm533 folder.
Work through this first notebook:

a. Open up a JupyterLab session on Turing

b. Browse to your atm533/week3 directory

c. Double-click on the cartopy.ipynb notebook

d. Run through the notebook.

f. Save your modified notebook

g. Shutdown and close your modified notebook
Additional notebooks and GitHub activities have been sent via email.
Homework 1 will be assigned this Thursday 9/8, and will be due Monday 9/19.
