Learning Objectives:

  1. Dealing with THREDDS-served datasets whose coordinate dimension names change run-to-run

  2. Interactive visualization with Holoviz

  3. Reproducible, citable geoscientific projects via Project Pythia Cookbooks

Learning and Participation Activities with Due Dates (Tuesday, Oct. 31):

  1. Visualization notebooks

    a. cd to your /spare11/atm533/<NetID> directory

    b. Clone Kevin’s week10 folder:

    git clone /spare11/atm533/ktyle/week10

    c. Open up a JupyterLab session on Turing

    d. Browse to your atm533/week10 directory

    e. Work through the notebooks (we will go over a couple in class)

  2. Final project planning

a. Clone a Project Pythia Cookbook of your choice

b. Attempt to run through all of the notebooks within that Cookbook

c. Teams will be assigned later this week

d. Project ideas will be announced / solicited later this week
